Guest Blogger: The Bedroom Philosopher

the-bedroom-philosopher-blogQuirky scenester The Bedroom Philosopher takes precious time out from posing about Northcote and performing at the Melbourne Comedy Festival to write us a guest blog. Today he talks about how he came up with the track ‘Northcote (So Hungover)’… we think.

“Hey. Rad radio.
Hello this is the bedroom philosopher and I’m like writing this on my friends iphone while she gives me a massage so sorry if it doesnt make sense. The song is doing great which Iz great. I haven’t been doing many interviews coz I get bored and I think the song should speak for itslf. I get pretty antsy. As a kid Id pretend to interview myself for roling stone while on the toilet but then walk out on myself halfway. Messy. What else? Some dude put the song up on youtoob which is cool. Viral man. 10, 000 views. That’s more than girl poos in spa bath. Rads.

Alot of peeps are up in my grill wanting to know how I wrote the song and stuff. Its all about the tambourine. I write songs on tambo first and then build the track around that. You need a solid beat. The beat is like the ground, to use a metafor, and the rest of the track is like, a starbux. Without the ground it’d just sink into the mud a bit and youd spill yr carremallatte. Shit this thing doesn’t do spellcheck. Awesome. I’m gonna get a new fixy bike with the money from the single. Its gonna have an ashtray. That about it from me then.
Laterz.”
